Christmas Day

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

We were snowed in all day because of the heavy blizzard that hit Oklahoma City on Christmas Eve.  For the first time in my entire life I didn't spend Christmas with my family, it was kind of an odd feeling.  But, Casey built us a nice fire and we had a good time as our own little family enjoying opening presents and drinking hot chocolate!

A very blurry picture of our Christmas Tree.

Shiloh didn't look too happy either, but at least she tolerated it.

Her brand new four wheeler from grandma!  It goes up to 2 MPH.

Casey and Rory were both so worn out from all the present opening that they just laid on the floor together.  Too sweet!

December 20-24 2009 North Carolina

Im skipping Thanksgiving and November for right now, I have to find the pictures on my other camera..  sorry!

For Christmas, we decided to have our very own version of "Four Christmases" for anyone has seen that movie you'll know what I'm talking about..  So, a week before Christmas, we took a road trip to go see Casey's dad's side of the family in North Carolina.  This is the very first time that ALL of his family has been together at one time.  We went to see Casey's grandma and newborn sister, both of whom I have never met.

His dad lives in Midway Park, NC.  It is by the coast so it was a very VERY long drive, about 22-23 hours worth of a drive.  We drove all the way through!  Well, Casey drove 90% of the time.  The roads weren't that bad at all until we got around the Tennessee/North Carolina border.  Then all of a sudden it started looking like the apocolypse.  Cars, hundreds and hundreds, literally, were just abandoned along the sides of the roads, ditches and in the medians. It was very snowy and slow going from there on out.  It was very scenic though and beautiful but we had to be very careful not to end up like just another stranded motorist.  I have Casey and my grandpa to thank for us arriving on time and alive!  Casey for being an all around amazing driver and my grandpa for being an amazing grandpa and letting us borrow his truck with four wheel drive.  We wouldn't have made it without either one.  We got to his dad's house on December the 20th.  Here are the pictures:

Saying goodbye.

It's pretty crazy how much they look alike..

Well, we had a great time while we were there.  It was a long, LONG drive back though.  I'm almost shocked how well Rory did the whole time.  When we were driving in we had heard about the weather conditions coming into Oklahoma.  Little did we know that when they said "blizzard" and "white Christmas" they really meant it!  We literally made it in just the nick of time.  We saw several accidents and cars having gone off the road because of the slick ice and snow coming down.  We made it home safely and in one piece.  We were very glad to be home but we got snowed in for Christmas and for the first time in my life we didn't spend Christmas day with all of our family members.  We are still making it up to this day!

October 2009

One of my favorite months of the year is October.  The weather is cooling down and the leaves on the trees are changing color.  It is beautiful and look foward to it every year.  October also means one of my favorite holidays, Halloween!!

Thirteen Months!

Here I am at grandma's house, being a pro at walking!

Those are pictures of me playing with grandpa's belts.
I had a lot of fun messing with them!

I love playing the piano over there!

I can even stand and play!

I can even play with my feet!

Day before Halloween

I use halloween as an excuse to dress up all week long!
I saw kitty in the basket, so of course I had to mess with him.

So, I kicked him out!
Now, I'm in the basket!

You can tell by my face that I was having a lot of fun.

Then grandma helped me out.

What??

Here is my stuffed animal, I give him kisses.

Now, I'm giving him a hug.
I can be a really sweet girl.

HALLOWEEN NIGHT

Rory was Snow White.  She was so precious!

She didn't get the headband though, and she didn't want any part of it.

Mom took me trick or treating at a small local mall called Northpark Mall which hosted a kids only trick or treat night.  We went to go visit my "Aunt Ruby" who was working at a children's store there. There were a few "Snow White's" out, but I was the youngest, cutest Snow White there!

Mommy was scary on Halloween night, she dressed up as a witch!

Here's mom with my aunts Robyn and Kat.
