Road Trip to Red Rocks

Well as you all know, Casey is still out on tour with his band Stardeath. Rory and I decided to go pay him a visit since I have heard from so many people what an amazing venue it is and since my step-brother Trevor lives there and we could go together. Well, we (Rory, myself, and my co-worker Kara) left early Saturday morning to make that long, long drive from Oklahoma City to Denver, CO. I didn't take any pictures of us actually on the road or driving, but I had my hands extremely full with a teething baby! But here are the pictures from once we got there. We all had a really good time. And I'm so glad we got to see them play such an amazing venue, the rumors are true, it is awesome!

 Eleven Months

Arriving at the Red Rocks. The drive was pretty uneventful and flat from the city all the way through Kansas and even right up until about 15 minutes away from here.

View from the car.

Out of the car, here is Casey pushing Rory up the VERY steep road to the venue.

Here is Stardeath's dressing room.  Those are real rocks too. It's like the dressing room was just built into the mountain side. Very cool.

Another shot of the dressing room.

Here I am back in dad's dressing room posing on the rocks

::cheese::

Trying out the massage chair.  I think she really liked it.

Rory talking to Wayne of the Flaming Lips, Amy, Dennis's girlfriend, and Dennis in the Stardeath dressing room.

Here I am in the Lips' dressing room playing with Becky and Steven's daughter Lottie. Steven is the Lips' guitarist/multi-instrumentalist.

Here I am showing off how to crawl to Becky and Steven. Both, very sweet people.

Lottie is a few months older than I am, but we got along pretty well.

Lottie trying on her moms hat. Too cute.

Checking out the stage

Just posing with Daddy, testing out my new noise cancelling headphones.

Close up of my headphones

These balloons are bigger than I am!

With my momma.

I'm ready for daddy now!

Here we go! But now it's time for dad to soundcheck for tonight

Stardeath was soundchecking, Wayne was enjoying the show.

Found this backstage, As you can see the Beatles. The freaking Beatles played this exact same stage 44 years ago, almost to the day. OMG!

Then mom and I went to go watch dad work!

I danced and clapped my hands and had so much fun! The people filming the show even zoomed in on me and put me up on the jumbotron for the whole audience to see!

Sitting on my dad's shoulders after he played his show. I really had a good time watching my dad's band play but then I got tired, so mom went and put me down for the night. Becky was so sweet to watch me while mom went to watch the rest of the show!

It was a gorgeous night, so beautiful and the weather was perfect!

Beautiful.

Seriously, could you ask for more?

Explosions in the Sky setting up.

The sky getting darker.

Blurry picture, but Explosions in the Sky put on a great show. First time to see them and they didn't disappoint.

Now, it's time for the Flaming Lips!!

So excited! I actually get to watch them from the audience this time!

Then backstage, the confetti was out of control!
