I can't believe it's already been a year. I really honestly don't know where the time has gone. It seems like no more than 4 or 5 months ago we were bringing her home from the hospital! One year ago, on September 19, 2008, we welcomed Rory into the world. It has been the most amazing adventure from that first day on.
Rory woke up pretty early that day, around 7AM and the fun started then!
We started off the day with a bacon egg and cheese tortilla.
Casey was on his way home from tour so he could make it for her big birthday!
We were really afraid he would still be on tour for her birthday because he had a show scheduled on that day, but somehow he made it happen. We went shopping all day with Grandma Sharon and Aunt Robyn and then went to pick up Rory's first cupcake from
, Sara Sara Cupcakes, it's a fairly new shop downtown. Then we went to go pick Casey up. Rory was so excited to see him! We drove straight home to start the evening.
So, I heard it was my birthday...
When am I going to get that cupcake everyone's been talking about??
Isn't it pretty??
There it is!! We sang Happy Birthday and tried to let her blow out the candle.
She just wanted to grab it so we blew it out together.
Really?! This is all mine?
And I'm just supposed to stick my face in it??
How about I just use my hands first?
Can't a girl just eat in peace?
Here, I'll show momma how it's done.
I feel like I shouldn't be doing this..
But I just made a big mess!
But if you say it's ok..
Here I am at my messiest.
Mom and Dad helped me eat the cupcake too, but I had most of it.
It was sooo good!
Then I got a nice bath to clean all that cupcake off and got in my jammies.
I slept really well that night..
